Southmoreland School District offers a cyber-based education program through a partnership with the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit. The Southmoreland Online Learning Academy (SOLA) offers students in grades 6 through 12, the option of completing courses online, while still being a part of the Southmoreland School District. Courses are taught by PA Certified public school teachers throughout Westmoreland County. Students participating in SOLA are eligible to participate in all school-sponsored events and have access to school resources, including career & college counseling and events, PSAT and ASVAB testing, social functions and graduation. Students completing their senior year through SOLA will graduate with a Southmoreland diploma.
